I'm so glad you're here! This is where you can keep up with my latest weddings, engagements, and family sessions as well as my personal artistic projects and paleo-ish recipe hacks. It's a great way to get to know me and my work, and I'd love to hear your thoughts and ideas for future posts in the comments.
Last month I had the opportunity to capture an intimate, elopement style wedding in Indianapolis for some family friends. Though I love big, traditional weddings (and had one myself), there was something so pure and beautiful about the simplicity of this occasion. There weren’t any first looks or getting ready photos–just images of the […]
Any engagement session that begins and ends with popping Champagne is all right with me! I absolutely loved working with Mary Kate and Joe, who share my love for laid-back summer days at home with the ones you love. We started out at their beautiful house in Westfield to capture a little slice of […]
If you’ve known me for awhile, you know I am generally trying to eat paleo (fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, and free range/grass fed eggs, fish, and meat). If you’ve ever tried eating paleo, you know that one of the hardest things about it is buying, preparing, and storing all of that food! Since having […]
I’m finally ready to share the last post from this lovely spring engagement session. After our stop at the vine covered trellises (in my previous post), we drove to First Christian Church, where Quintin and Hayli will be married in August. The building, constructed in 1942, was one of the first churches in […]
Welcome back for the second installment of Quintin and Hayli’s engagement session in Columbus, Indiana! As you know, I’m pretty smitten with these two, and I have a tendency to go on and on about them. I’ll try to keep it short today and just say how much I love their sense of adventure […]
I don’t know many people who would start off a photo shoot by eating an entire waffle cone, but that’s exactly what Hayli and Quintin did. These two have a very playful, laid-back vibe, and they wanted their photos to capture that light-hearted spirit. As a native of Columbus, Hayli wanted to visit some […]
This blog post has been a year in the making, and I’m still not sure I can do it justice. This will be one of my more personal posts, and I’ll be talking about pregnancy, adoption, miscarriage, and special needs kids, so if that’s something that might be hard for you to read right now, please give yourself grace to move on.
I had a great time getting to know Chelsea and Aaron. I’ll be photographing their wedding in September 2018 at Meadowlark Gardens, but I hadn’t actually met them yet! They started researching photographers after I’d already moved to Indiana, but they still reached out, and I could tell right away that they were my kind of couple.
For these family portraits, we knew we wanted to go with a lifestyle approach and capture the magical feeling of Laura’s house at Christmas time. It’s always been a special holiday for her, but it became something more precious when sweet Teddy arrived two years ago in December. His name, Theodore, means “gift from God” and his middle name, Noel, means “Christmas”, and I think his birthday is going to be the best Christmas gift his family gets to have every year.
I love sharing about the people and things I enjoy, so I thought I’d put together a post about some of the amazing people I’ve met so far. I know there are other wedding photographers in Indiana who are talented and sought-after, but these are the ones I’ve actually met.
