I wasn't able to meet Dave until the day of his wedding, but I could tell he was someone special by the way Jeanette talked about him. He literally made her light up. When I commented on her gorgeous engagement ring, she looked down, got a huge smile on her face, and said, "He did good. "
They were even cuter in person. In fact, Dave and Jeanette might be the definition of "the happy couple". I don't think I have a single picture where one of them isn't smiling or laughing.
I loved the concept behind this wedding: an outdoor mid-morning ceremony followed by delicious brunch, mimosas, and an early afternoon sendoff for the bride and groom (plus tons of tasty travel-themed details!) For starters, the adorable ringbearers carried an antique suitcase with both wedding rings safely secured inside.
Isn't that ring stunning? Yes, Dave did good.
The ceremony was short and very sweet. Both Dave and Jeanette shed some tears during their vows, and then it was back to laughing and walking up the aisle with huge grins.
The reception was just steps away inside the newly renovated ballroom of The Woodlands at Algonkian. Dave and Jeanette served up yummy brunch food followed by personal-size pies. Guests received custom luggage tags as favors, and Dave and Jeanette made their getaway with the antique suitcase in hand.
Dave and Jeanette, your love for each other was such a blessing to me and all your guests. Thanks for putting together this lovely and fun wedding and inviting me to capture it. I'm truly honored!
