I'm so glad you're here! This is where you can keep up with my latest weddings, engagements, and family sessions as well as my personal artistic projects and paleo-ish recipe hacks. It's a great way to get to know me and my work, and I'd love to hear your thoughts and ideas for future posts in the comments.
This was one of the most diverse and creative engagement sessions I’ve ever shot. Eugene and Rhea had so many unique ideas for their session, and we had a great time shooting together.
Eugene is a self-described gym rat specializing in crossfit, while Rhea is a fashionista with a glam sense of style. They asked to start our session at District Crossfit with Eugene in his typical workout gear and Rhea dressed to the nines. Our goal was to capture both the contrast between them and the harmony of their relationship.
Next, we headed to the Lincoln Memorial for some glowing, romantic portraits. Despite the crowds, these photos are so intimate. Afterwards, we took a little detour to snap a few photos under the gorgeous flowering trees along the Potomac. And we finished with a casual stroll through Georgetown. Rhea loves long unplanned dates in Georgetown, and we wanted to capture a truly candid, street-photography feeling in this last portion of the shoot.
As I look back over all these images, I’m amazed at the different energy in each portion of the session. Eugene and Rhea really committed to each location and made it so easy for me to shift gears as we went along. I loved their decision to capture many facets of their relationship, and I’m so excited for their wedding at the St. Regis this fall!
