Wedding in Falls Church: Kristen & Dan

This wedding was a dream to photograph. In addition to being lovely, and highly emotive, Kristen was the most organized bride I’ve ever met. This is the only wedding I’ve ever shot (or heard of) where all the portraits ran thirty minutes ahead of schedule. As a photographer, this made my heart sing because it meant we got to play around longer in the gorgeous golden hour light!

Dan and Kristen are thoughtful, intentional people, who really value their relationships. This was so evident in the way they structured their wedding day. After a ceremony in the church where they met and still attend services, they dismissed all their guests personally before rejoining them for a long and joyful reception with plenty of heartfelt toasts and dancing. I couldn’t help laughing and tearing up a bit during the toast by Kristen’s dad–who almost managed not to cry.

Dan and Kristen, thank you so much for including me in this lovely day! The hours flew by for me as I was surrounded by so much love and happiness. I left feeling so blessed to witness and capture the start of your life together.
