I'm so glad you're here! This is where you can keep up with my latest weddings, engagements, and family sessions as well as my personal artistic projects and paleo-ish recipe hacks. It's a great way to get to know me and my work, and I'd love to hear your thoughts and ideas for future posts in the comments.
I’ve been dying to share this glamorous New Year’s Eve wedding at the Decatur House! Along with the beautiful venue and gorgeous details styled by Voila Event Studio, I had the pleasure of photographing a completely stunning and heart warming couple.
My bride and groom, Nasim and Tripp, were absolutely amazing to work with. They’re so in love and have no problem sharing their joy and tears with the camera. I felt truly honored to be present for their first look and gift exchange at the St. Regis Washington, DC.
Our portrait session in Lafayette Park and at the Decatur House captured so many elegant, classic, and romantic poses and locations. And, amazingly, we did it all with no natural light as I started shooting well after sunset. Many thanks to my fantastic assistant and stylist, Heather Long of Simply Designed, who helped me light all these beautiful photos.
After a nine-o-clock wedding ceremony, Nasim and Tripp enjoyed a tented reception in the courtyard with lots of dancing and New Year’s Eve celebrating. They also incorporated Nasim’s cultural heritage with a special Persian ceremony at their sweetheart table.
At midnight everyone kissed their sweethearts and happily tooted their New Year’s horns. I love the joyful photos of this celebration on the dance floor and the brilliant sparkler send-off on H Street.
Thanks to all the amazing vendors who made this day possible:
