I'm so glad you're here! This is where you can keep up with my latest weddings, engagements, and family sessions as well as my personal artistic projects and paleo-ish recipe hacks. It's a great way to get to know me and my work, and I'd love to hear your thoughts and ideas for future posts in the comments.
After meeting through a mutual friend and dating long-distance for two-and-a-half years, Matthew and Caitlin were engaged in December 2011. Matthew’s upcoming deployment as a Marine Corps pilot led them to tie the knot just eight days later with plans to schedule a big celebration with friend and family after he returned.
Though their short-notice wedding didn’t include the long white dress, Caitlin was able to wear a special gift from her sister Alesha: blue Manolo Blahnik shoes.
The busy and unpredictable life of a Marine Corps pilot pushed Matthew and Caitlin’s big celebration a bit further into the future than they expected, but their vow renewal this May was one of the most joyous and beautiful days I’ve seen yet.
These two were radiantly happy.
Their vow renewal perfectly celebrated everything about their first wedding and their life together. I loved how they incorporated Matthew’s job with invitations, signage, and decor featuring handcrafted paper airplanes. And, of course, Caitlin wore her blue Manolo Blahniks.
