Heather and Alastair were so laid-back and relaxed on their wedding day, despite unseasonably cold and rainy weather. We had originally planned to take advantage of all the scenery in Old Town and had a whole portrait route planned out. But the damp and chill kept our outside time very short. Despite changes in plans, Heather and Alastair were totally focused on enjoying one another and their guests. They even joked with me and my team about the weather as we set up lights in the lobby for an improvised wedding party and family portrait session.
Sometimes changes in plans force you to be even more creative, and I love the vibrant, yet intimate portraits we took inside the Hotel Monaco. It helps that there are so many great textures and patterns to set the scene.
Most of all, I loved getting to know Heather and Alastair and their sweet Puggle, Jozy, (who made appearances at both the engagement session and the wedding!) Their joy and happiness really shines through in these photos.
Heather and Alastair, thank you again for making me a part of this beautiful day! It was my absolute pleasure to work with you and your families. Give Jozy a hug for me!
