This was my first Charlottesville, VA wedding, and I'm absolutely hooked on the city. From perusing the farmer's market to taking a stroll through the downtown mall, I was constantly welcomed and charmed by Southern hospitality. Of course, I was also lucky enough to stay with the bridal party at The Inn at Court Square--where Southern charm and hospitality were probably invented (in their kitchen, I'm guessing). Though I was in town to work, the inn keeper made me feel like I was on vacation as she cooked me special gluten-free eggs each morning.
But really, I was photographing Liz and David, two of the most lovely and welcoming people I've ever met. They filled this day with so much joy--I found myself smiling and laughing constantly as I edited their photos.
It was a stunning wedding from start to finish beginning with gorgeous antiques and lush furniture at The Inn at Court Square and continuing to the famous UVA Chapel. This beautiful gothic church in the center of campus was a perfect setting for two UVA alumni. We wrapped up the evening with a lively night at the Glass Haus Kitchen in downtown Charlottesville. Delicious American cuisine and an open, contemporary atmosphere were the crowning touches to a lovely day.
Liz and David, I'm so grateful to have been part of your wedding day. It was a beautiful celebration of your love and commitment to each other. Thank you for including and welcoming me!
